The newly-announced Nokia E7 is squarely aimed at business users. This smartphone includes a range of cutting-edge features.
Its design features a slide-and-tilt display and a large keyboard. The 4-inch, AMOLED display will have a 640 x 360 pixel resolution, and use Nokia's ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility.
The E7 is going to run the latest version of the Symbian OS, and come with a range of business-oriented software, allowing users to work on documents, review spreadsheets, or read and edit slides via the Quickoffice app. It will also support Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for corporate email, calendars, and address books.
It will support the 3G bands used in the United States (AT&T and T-Mobile) as well as the ones used in the rest of the world. It will also going to include Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0.
This Nokia smartphone will include an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash that will beable to record 720p video on its back, as well as a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing.
Other features are going to include a USB-to-go port, an HDMI video-out port, and a 1200 mAh battery.
Overall, this smartphone is only going to be 4.9 x 2.4 x 0.5 inches and 6.2 ounces.
Pricing & Availability
The Nokia E7 is scheduled to be released by the end of this year. It will sell for EUR 495, excluding taxes and subsidies.
The timing and pricing of a U.S. release is not yet known.
